Storage cabinet made from garden shed crates
Are you looking for projects to carry out at home? These custom storage cabinets, made from crates of vintage wine or soft drink bottles, can be used to keep your cabin tidy at the start of the busy gardening season. Or, you can set them up in a basement playroom to store toys or in the hallway to store shoes.
You will need :
Wooden boxes of different heights and widths
Wood screws
Hook nails (optional)
Instructions :
Stack the crates horizontally and vertically against your cabin wall to create the layout you want. Flip some crates onto their sides to be used as bases for other crates to rest on.
Secure the crates at the corners with wood screws and ties so that each stack is secure.
For more storage in each crate, attach hook nails to hang gloves and small tools. You can also divide the space by stacking smaller crates or baskets in each compartment.

If your goal is to free up counter space in your small bathroom, this project is the solution for you!
For each compartment you will need:
Two plywood panels (12 X 9 X ¾ in)
Two plywood panels (10 ½ X 9 in)
12 sq. In. Plywood panel
Wood glue
Finishing nails (1 ½ '' long)
Sandpaper
Primer and paint
Instructions :
Glue the ends of the bottom and top plywood boards to the inside edges of the side boards and secure them with finish nails at each corner. Glue the back panel and secure it with finishing nails.
Once the box is dry, sand with sandpaper, then primer and paint the box.
Install a hanging bracket on the back of each compartment and hang it on the wall with a nail or screw it directly into the wall from the back and paint the screws to cover them. Arrange the compartments in a vertical line, irregularly, or however you prefer.

Storage bench for the vestibule
In the spring, your hallway can quickly become cluttered with wet coats and dirty boots. Keep your hallway neat and organized with this storage bench that doubles as a storage space for your favorite shoes, as well as a place to sit to take your shoes off and on.
You will need :
In a sturdy wooden box or crate
Four wheels
A plywood panel of the same dimensions as the top of the box
A length of foam filling (2 '' thick)
3 '' fabric length extending past plywood on all sides
Mounting screws
Scissors and a ruler
Spray glue and a stapler
Instructions :
Flip the crate onto its side and screw a caster into each of the four corners of the crate using the mounting screws. Put it aside.
Sand the edges of the plywood panel until they are smooth.
Place the moss on the floor, then lay the plywood board on top. Cut the foam to match the size of the panel.
Place the fabric face down on the floor and put the foam and then the plywood on top in the center. Bring the fabric over the edges of the plywood and staple the excess fabric to the underside. Place the cover on the crate.
Pro Tip: Since you've worked hard to build your bench, it would be a good idea to protect the inside by covering the bottom with cookie sheets and drainers to place your boots on.
