Description

 

Koharu is the daughter of Issei Minagi . Her mother and baby brother both died in a car accident when she was young. Following her father's remarriage to Hinata Yamakawa , she becomes Hiyori 's "big sister" , since she is older than the latter by two months.

 

Having lived alone with her father for several years, Koharu has taken to cooking and is quite good at it. She knows a number of easy-to-make recipes, which she gladly uses to cook the fish caught by Hiyori .

Within the blended family, she is the only one who really cooks, so she was allowed to organize the room according to her needs.

 

Unlike his sister, Koharu is an outgoing, even impulsive person. Indeed, during their first meeting, Hiyori prevents him from swimming in the sea because the season is not suitable for it; Koharu actually got carried away with her excitement at seeing the sea for the first time in her life.

She gets along particularly well with Hiyori and is quickly intrigued by fly fishing, to the point of wanting to try it.

Unskillful at first, she refuses to admit defeat and continues her efforts to make a good throw.

Attentive, she masters the basic techniques quite easily: she is able to mount her fishing rod and tie her fly on her own. However, she struggles to retain the English vocabulary associated with fly fishing.

 

Koharu gets along quite well with Koi , although she is sometimes jealous of the latter's relationship with Hiyori .

She also gets along very well with Hinata , although she usually addresses her very formally.

She shows great empathy towards her sister, often making sure she doesn't hurt her with her words or actions, even unintentionally.

 

She attends the same high school as Hiyori and Koi but is not in their class, which upsets her somewhat.
