COVID-19: best prevention practices

The current situation can cause stress for many of us. At Desjardins, we are here to reassure you and support you by providing you with support tools to help you get through this exceptional period.

The situation is changing rapidly. We understand that it can sometimes be difficult to stay on course with the various measures and advice given to us. In collaboration with our partner Novus Santé, we remind you of the best prevention practices against COVID-19 provided by the government.

Physical distancing: the best strategy to protect the community and prevent COVID-19.

Keep a distance of 2 meters (6 feet) from others. In addition to protecting yourself, physical distancing measures can help reduce the number of new cases.
Avoid people who are sick, coughing, or sneezing.
Self-isolate if you can, especially if you are at high risk.
Hygiene measures

Wash your hands often with soap and water for 20 seconds.
Cough or sneeze into a tissue or the crook of your arm. Then wash your hands.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth without washing your hands first.
Clean surfaces like phones, toilets, doorknobs, etc.
By following these best practices, you will help reduce the spread of the virus while minimizing the chances of contracting it. In addition, you participate in the protection of the most vulnerable people for whom complications could be possible.
