Moulay Idriss Al Azhar Mausoleum

, the mausoleum Moulay Idriss Al Azhar is one of the most visited of Morocco. It is annually at the center of a great cultural and religious moussem that starts from the second Thursday of September each year. A tradition that is perpetuated since the 15th century, enhanced, place Boujloud, by the ceremony of procession of the catafalque of the tomb of the patron saint of Fez with parade of the children of the Koranic schools, the descendants of the Chorfas, Andalusian music, spiritual songs of brotherly troops Aissaoua, Hmadcha, Jilala, Gnaoua, Ahl Touat and the representatives of the craftsmen's guilds. The catafalque, "kessoua", covering drapery of the tomb is a pure creation of craftsmen, especially women marking their ancient know-how this puzzle of nearly forty pieces of woolen cloth, embroidered with gold thread calligraphing suras from the Koran.
