A revolution ثورة

A revolution (Latin late revolutio which means "a turnaround") is an important change that usually occurs in a relatively short period of time. Various revolutions have taken place throughout the history of man. They vary in terms of the number of (revolutionary) participants, the means employed by them, the duration, the motivational ideology and many other aspects. They can bring about socio-political change in socio-political institutions or a major change in a culture or economy. The scientific debates on what is a revolution or not, are centered around several questions. The first studies of the revolutions mainly analyzed the events of European history from the psychological point of view [citation needed]. However, new theories have been proposed, using explanations for more global events and using works from other social sciences such as sociology and political science. Several generations of scholarly thinking have generated many competing theories about revolutions, gradually increasing our understanding of this complex phenomenon.
