How do you immigrate to Canada as a skilled worker?

Federal Skilled Worker applicants must submit their application online through the electronic case management system, Express Entry.

Skilled workers must have the required skills, education and work experience. They must know English and / or French and be equipped with other skills that will help them integrate into the Canadian labor market.

Your application as a skilled worker must first meet certain minimum requirements to be considered admissible. Then, she will be assessed based on six selection factors according to a well-defined scoring system.

To be eligible to apply, you must:

    Have a job offer; Where
    Be eligible to work in Canada; Where
    Be able to demonstrate that you have enough money to meet the needs of your dependents and yourself following your arrival in Canada;

And

    Have at least 1 year of experience as a full-time skilled worker (or its equivalent);
    Have the minimum linguistic level required in French or English;
    Have a post-secondary certificate or diploma;
    Count on living in a province other than Quebec.

Minimum requirements Your professional experience must meet certain criteria:

    You have work experience in a management position, a professional position (i.e. a position that usually requires a university degree, such as a dentist or architect), or a technical or specialist job (such as chefs, plumbers or electricians).     This experience must have been paid, full-time or its part-time equivalent. Full time means at least 30 hours per week. It is also necessary that you have obtained this experience in the last 10 years.

Evaluation of your request
