Holder of at least a master's degree 1 in law (but more often a master's degree 2), he passed the entrance exam of one of the 16 CRFPA, after a year of preparation in an IEJ (Institute of Judicial Studies), component of a law school. He then follows an 18-month training course (course, internship, individual professional project), sanctioned by the CAPA (Certificate of Aptitude for the Profession of Lawyer). He can then take an oath and apply for registration with a bar.
