Natural disaster

A is the consequence of the moment when a potential natural hazard becomes a physical event (volcanic eruption, earthquake, landslide, for example) and it interacts with human activities. Human vulnerability, caused by lack of planning, the lack of appropriate emergency management or the unforeseen event, leads to financial, structural and human losses. The resulting loss depends on the ability of the population to support or resist the disaster, its resilience. [1] This understanding is concentrated in the following formulation: "Disasters occur when hazards encounter vulnerability" [2]. A natural hazard will therefore never cause a natural disaster in non-vulnerable areas, for example powerful earthquakes in uninhabited areas. The natural term has therefore been contested because events are simply not hazards or disasters without human involvement.
