Co-owner or "condo" home insurance

Condominium home insurance is for people who own a building under the condo regime - which is why it's sometimes called “condo insurance”. It covers the specific needs of the co-ownership, in particular the common areas of the condo.

Movable property of the apartment Up to a certain limit
Building structure
Outbuildings adjoining the apartment
Living expenses
Public liability
Common areas of the condo
The various goods covered by co-owner home insurance also known as "condo"

The co-ownership home insurance taken out by the co-owners is generally supplemented by insurance taken out by the condominium association, which shares the risk of damage that could occur on the common parts of the condo

How much does home insurance cost in Quebec?

The cost of home insurance in Quebec depends on your situation, your age, the type of your home as well as its size. Here is the list of the main parameters that affect the price of home insurance:

    The location of your home
The condition and surface of your home
The year your house or condo was built
What you use it for: for example if you work there
    The type of heating used
The proximity or not of the fire station
The number of people who live there
The level of coverage you choose (including the level of the value of the personal property you want to cover)
