How to Respect Your Parents
It is easy to forget to respect your parents. We forget the sacrifices they made. One forgets how difficult it is to raise happy and healthy children and the amount of effort they have had to make to achieve it. Yet love is not possible without respect and one of the best ways to show your parents that you love them is to show them that you respect them. There are a multitude of small gestures that you can do on a daily basis for this. Adopt a loving and positive attitude and your parents will feel loved and proud to have you as a son / daughter.
1
Be aware of all the things your parents do for you every day and enjoy them. Be sensitive to the countless hours they spend with you and to their joy when you spend time together. Imagine what it's like to be in their place. If you were a parent, how would you like to be treated by your children? How would it be to have to manage all the responsibilities of the house? What decisions would you take in place of your parents? Thank them for the great efforts they make for you, such as when they look after your bedside when you are sick, but also for small things, such as bringing a cup of tea to your room or helping you choose a Dress for a big party.
2
Recognize and respect the fact that they know more about life than you. They can teach you a lot about life and the world. Sometimes parents may feel overly strict or old-fashioned. When they insist that you call the adults "Sir" and "Madam," for example. But you must respect the fact that they want to guide you in your life through the wisdom they have accumulated in theirs. Indeed, there must be a minimum of discipline and education to make a child an adult responsible, dignified, productive and sociable.

3
Obviously, there are always times when your parents seem totally lost and unable to help you with your personal problems. But believe me when I tell you that they can understand much more than you think. Whether it's problems with your friends, picture problems of you or anything else, you can count on your parents, because they too have had your age. NEVER be afraid to talk to your parents about your problems. You have to tell them about your problems, they can not help you if they are not aware. Helping you with your problems is part of their parenting role.
4
Never forget that your parents love you more than anything else in the world. They place a lot of hope in you because they want to see you flourish when grown up. Sometimes they will ask you to do things that may seem ridiculous or unfair. But they do it only for your own good and teach you that ... "We do not always have what we want in life".

5
If you feel that your parents do not listen to you or take you seriously, take a  moment to ask yourself what you want them to know and discuss them calmly with them. Try to understand their point of view. Avoid arguing with them even though they may sometimes be unfair. Remember that it is your parents who must make the important decisions for you. Trying to deny them this right is not correct behavior. If you want to behave as an adult, you must keep a calm and respectful attitude at the end of the conversation and accept that it is your parents who have the last word. Over time they will end up trusting in you and in their eyes you will be on track to become a responsible young adult and able to make important decisions alone.
Make a daily effort not to complain about the authority of your parents. Your parents sacrifice a lot of things for you. The smallest thing is to adopt a grateful, respectful and positive attitude. Remember that these principles will also be very useful when you have children yourself. You can pass on the family values that your parents have taught you to your children. Always ask yourself: do I behave as I would like my future children to behave with me? Never forget to apologize if you have offended them: you can hurt your parents as much as any other person.
Be helpful and assume your responsibilities at home by doing your chores and those of others if you can, just to show that you want to participate in family life. If you have brothers or sisters, help them with their homework and chores. Be a good example for them and encourage them to respect your parents in the same way you do. Thus, you will have a harmonious family in which you will all be happier.
Do not forget that your parents must manage the money of the whole family. It's always nice to get a new phone or new clothes, but financially, it's not always possible. If possible, contribute to your level. Earn a little money on your side to pay for your outings and clothes, for example.
Remember that one of the best things you can do for your parents is to be loving with them. Parents naturally need to know if their children love them. Be affectionate and give them as many hugs and kisses as they do to you and that as often as you want. No need to wait for a special occasion. Love is free and you must not hesitate to share your love. This is what all the world's parents would want from their beloved children. They will never forget your gestures of love.
